Baldivis District Sporting Complex 

Overview

HLE were engaged by the City of Rockingham for the Supply and Installation of LED Floodlighting and Light PIN Control Systems for the City of Rockingham’s Baldivis District Sporting Complex. This Project included the Supply and Installation of Underground Conduit, Cable, Pits, and base-plate mounted, heavy duty galvanised Steel Poles both 30 and 35m. There were also modifications to the existing Site Main Switchboard and existing Distribution Boards, while also providing custom built switchboards and control gear enclosure. The Lighting system complete in all aspects to be Supplied and Installed, including Luminaires, Control Gear, Battens, Brackets, Fixings, Accessories, connections, Ancillary work and Equipment Guarantees as applicable to luminaires. There was also the included training of the Client Representatives, in the correct operation and maintenance of the Electrical Services equipment and Light PIN system. Two lighting manufacturers were engaged for the project works, both Sylvania-Schreader and H.I Lighting.

Scope

​

• ​During Site Shutdown provide modifications to the existing Site Main Switchboard for the upgrade of mccb’s.

• During Site Shutdown provide modifications to the existing Distribution Boards, DB1.1 and DB1.2 for the upgrade of mccb’s.

• Supply and install new Sports Lighting Control Enclosure LC1.1 fed via existing DB1.1

• Supply and install new Sports Lighting Control Enclosure LC1.2 fed via existing DB1.2

• Oval 1- Supply and install 4 x Distribution Boards- For each of the 4 x 30m light poles containing 8 x drivers per Lighting Control Enclosure

• Oval 2 and 3- Supply and install a IP66 W/P Enclosure for the junction of all cables at the base of light poles

• Provide the service location and extension of existing underground conduits and buried cable pits

• Sports Lighting – Lighting for football (all codes) to AS2560.2.3 to 50 LUX Training, 100 LUX Club Competition and 200 LUX Semi-Professional for Oval 1

•  Sports Lighting – Lighting for football (all codes) to AS2560.2.3 to 50 LUX Training and 100 LUX Club Competition for Oval 2

• Sports Lighting – Lighting for football (all codes) to AS2560.2.3 to 50 LUX Training for General Area

• Control of obtrusive effects of Outdoor Lighting to AS4282:2019 for Environmental Zone A3, non-curfew Level 1 control

• LV Sub-main installation for LC1.1 and LC1.2 and all final sub-circuit cabling

• LV and ELV control cabling for DALI and Light PIN systems

• Confined Space works and de-watering of 4 x footings

• Cable containment and other cable support systems

• Earthing systems

• Intelligent Light Application Light Pin System & Dynalite Intelligent Lighting Control Programming

• Structural design and certification

• Geotechnical samples and reporting

• Surveying set out and as constructed locations

• Project works completed alongside Builders works in connection with other sub-contractors - Crothers Brothers construction-controlled site.

• Occupational health and safety systems to ensure the public space remains safe

• Testing and commissioning

• As Built drawings and maintenance handbooks

• Maintenance during the defects period
