Forrest Place Feature Interactive Lighting and Power Systems

Overview

Hender Lee Electrical was engaged by Northerly Group / The City of Perth for the supply and installation of feature lighting and power systems for the Forrest Place Redevelopment.

The lighting system was imported from the USA, Italy and Belgium.  With the majority of the works requiring an 18M EWP within a high pedestrian traffic area, a large portion of the installation was performed at night. The complex scheduling of activities was all overcome on time by Hender Lee Electrical.  To upgrade the electrical systems to incorporate the new works required us to perform numerous shut downs to the Myer Forrest Place building.

Hender Lee Electrical played an integral role in the final commissioning of the system.

Scope

The Lighting comprised of 4 x interactive program operated main moving projector lights within specialized enclosures, 18 x LED colour changing lights, 4 x LED white and amber lights, the relocation of 2 x heritage light columns with 4 lights on each, 27x LED colour changing tree wells up lights, 16 x LED recess strip lights, 4 x recess LED down lights, 6 x spot lights, 4 x giant floor lamps, all driven by an interactive computer program linking music with the lighting system to create a specialised environment. Emergency lighting, cable trays and supports also formed part of our scope.

Challenges

Hender Lee delivered the works outside business  hours on a night shift system to mitigate interaction with the public in this busy public area to provide the works.
