Synergy Power Station Water Treatment Plant Electrical Controls and Instrumentation
Overview
In July 2020, Osmoflo (www.osmoflo.com), awarded the Electrical and Instrumentation works for the supply of a Water Treatment Plant and Ancillary Equipment, that is required to receive bore and recycled site water, and supply the Cockburn Power Station and Kwinana Gas Turbines with treated water. Synergy is Western Australia’s largest electricity generator and retailer of gas and electricity with more than one million residential, business and industry customers.
Scope
This SOW includes:

Site Installation, testing, commissioning & pre-commissioning checks, material, equipment, scaffolding and supervision.

Equipment installations, MCC switchboards, A/C distribution boards, UPS, battery banks, instruments, power distribution boards, VSD’s within the MCC, air-conditioning systems, GPO’s and isolators within the plant area.

Stainless steel cable supports, stainless steel cable ladders, trays and conduits.

Lighting, chemical dosing panels, EDI rectifier panels, control equipment installation works, PLC cabinets, the Installation of transmitters, arc flash labeling, instrument JB’s, RIO panels including instrument earthing.

Cable laying and termination, the supply and installation of power cables to the WTP, instrument cables, fibre optic cables, control cables and communications cabling.

Earthing at the bus of Synergy’s upstream earth system.

Pre-commissioning and commissioning.
Challenges
Extensive works are required within a congested Process Equipment Building. Hender Lee will be delivering the works within tight time frame allocations to suit our clients' mechanical and structural installation schedule.
